Commission a Portrait
Commissioning a Fine Expressions portrait is easy. Just follow the steps below. If at any time you need further information, or would like to discuss your portrait requirements, please don't hesitate to contact us.
STEP 1: Choose a Reference Photo
Select the reference photograph containing the subject(s) you wish to have portrayed in your portrait. Photos may be either color or black/white, and should meet the criteria outlined in our tips on choosing a reference photo. Subjects from separate photos can be assembled to appear as if they had posed together, but please remember that the price is based on the number of subjects in each portrait. See our pricing information for more details.
Please note that the portrait will be accurately drawn from the photo you supply. If the photo does not accurately capture the subject, then neither will the drawing. We cannot make great portraits from poor source material.
STEP 2: Complete our Online Commissioning Form
The quickest way to commission a portrait is to complete our comissioning form. Once this is done, and we have received your photo (either in digital or print format) and payment, we can begin work on your portrait. We will notify you via email when we begin work on your portrait.
We realize that you may want to speak with us personally, especially if you have questions regarding the portrait you want to commission. Please feel free to call or email us at any time.
STEP 3: Preview Your Portrait
When the portrait is complete we will email you a web link enabling you to view your portrait online. We do provide you with the opportunity to make minor adjustments to the portrait at this stage. Once you are completely satisfied with the portrait, we will mail it to you. See our delivery information for details on mailing options.
